Students who complete the course will be able to:
 

  • Explain the connections between resident health and housing condition based on the latest and most authoritative science.

  • Describe the prevalence of common housing maintenance problems based on the American Housing Survey.

  • Identify health-related provisions of the state and local housing codes and the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) that would improve resident health if achieved.

  • Describe strengths and weaknesses of various enforcement strategies on resident health.
