The purpose of this course is to provide training in the assessment of housing related health hazards for housing, public health, education, advocacy, and outreach para-professionals. The training course will be offered in Spanish and will include a focus on practical and cost-effective methods that can be easily implemented. The Essentials for Healthy Homes Practitioner’s course has been translated and adapted so that the curriculum are applicable to community- based professionals.

Who Should Attend:

  • housing managers of multi-family units (farmworker and elderly housing)

  • existing health promoters who work in an agricultural community;

  • educators of farmworkers (migrant, seasonal, and permanent);

  • social advocacy and outreach workers; and

  • farmworkers.
