Essentials for Healthy Homes Practitioners Course
Obtaining
Credit Hours from NEHA
The
National Environmental Health Association
has pre-approved the Training Center's
Essentials for Healthy Homes Practitioner course for 15.0 contact hours
for continuing
education credit.
Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHS)
or Registered Sanitarians (RS) credentialed through NEHA can receive credit
for participating in the course. In addition, many states licensed
sanitarians and environmental health specialists and recognize the NEHA
pre-approval. This recognition simplifies the process to get hours
approved.
of the letter from NEHA explaining the process.
In brief,
- The course binder will include a copy of
NEHA's Continuing Education Attendance Form for the course
- Individuals pursuing credit must
complete the Steps 1, 2, and 3 of the form.
- Individuals must secure the signature of
the course instructor in Step 4 so the instructor can verify attendance.
- Individuals submit the form to NEHA on
their own. If they do not hold a NEHA credential, they will be
required to pay a $7.50 computer maintenance fee.
