Integrated Pest Management in Affordable Housing
Two organizations provide excellent videos on integrated pest management in housing. ARC and Boston Housing Authority: Integrated pest management has been successfully used by the Boston Housing Authority for several years. Check out the following excellent videos from the New England Asthma Regional Council and the Boston Housing Authority for the insight into their success and how to put it to work for you.
American Lung Association - "Controlling Cockroaches in your Home: Healthy Tips for those with Asthma" A primer on how to pest-proof your home produced by the American Lung Association with funding from EPA. This 11-minute video is a great tool for use in resident training programs, and illustrates to viewers the health effects associated with cockroach infestations and simple steps they can take to eliminate conditions that may lead to infestations.
